China: is it still the investment haven it used to be?

Tuesday, 11th March 2014 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

    Co-organiser: Cushman & Wakefield

    - In global terms China is seen as the world growth engine for GDP , the Asian markets are inextricably linked to China and this has been a magnet for capital flows into the region. Recently we have seen evidence of the China market slowing . Will China enjoy the same level of interest from foreign investors that it has in the past ?
    - As economies recover across the Asia Pacific region there will be emerging markets strategies which will show opportunity in several of the South East Asian emerging economies , will these markets redirect international investor interest from China ? If the China market begins to soften further will be capital be deployed elsewhere ?
    - The core markets of Shanghai and Beijing have enjoyed very low capitalization rates off the back of strong GDP growth , if GDP softens are these capitalization rates sustainable ?
